Harvesting our first cucumber

The EY3 children harvested the first cucumber from the EY3 Mini Farm last week. It was exciting to see how our hard work has resulted in food that we can eat. The children reflected on how they first collected the cucumber seeds from the farm and then planted them. Over time, they have carefully taken care of the plants and watched the growth. We saw flowers appear not long ago and now the cucumbers!

A small group of children harvested the first cucumber and cut it into equal parts for the everyone to try. We all enjoyed tasting the first cucumber!
