Last week Aj.Mala, inspired by the Artwork visit, used a novel kinesthetic way to teach the concept of scientific variables.
The activity involved two teams who had to pass a plastic cup filled with water down the human chain and pour the water into a beaker at the end of the chain; The difference being, one team were blindfolded and the other group were not. As well as being a fun activity it reinforced understanding of variables in the scientific method.
Thanks to A.Mala and her students for this excellent example of creative approaches to learning and of joyful classroom practice.
