Great Lives

In our Grade 8 AEP Language Acquisition class with A. Catherine, we have been studying a unit called ‘Great Lives’, focusing on biography writing ( A biography is a description of the events in someone else’s life).

Over the last two weeks, A. Carlo and his colleagues from Melbourne University have been visiting Prem as part of their Masters in Teaching course. We were lucky enough to have the opportunity to both work with Ajarn Carlo and interview five other Melbourne students.

We prepared our interview questions, based on our reading of biographies, then met the students in person. We recorded our interviews so we could both ask questions and listen carefully. Then, after taking notes from our recordings, we wrote up the students’ biographies. We included details on their early lives, education, interests, what they have enjoyed doing in the past week or so in Chiang Mai and finally, what their future hopes and plans are on completing their course in the next month.

Good luck and thank you!

Tom, Phumin, Max, Andy and Anthony.
