Grade 9 Observe and Identify Creatures on the Farm

Grade 9 is learning about the classification of organisms (taxonomy) and how to use a key (dichotomous key) to observe and identify these creatures. During their lesson, they used nets and tubs to collect invertebrates from the farm ponds to identify them.
Using our Campus during our lessons enables our students to experience their learning on a practical level. This helps to develop a deeper understanding, creates more learning opportunities as students make connections and ask more questions, and it also gets us outside in the fresh air!
