Our Grade 7 students took part in a field trip to Bua Tong Waterfalls (or as we all know it, Sticky Falls). As part of our current physical/earth sciences unit on elements, compounds, and mixtures We are so lucky to have this as a natural classroom, less than 50KM from Prem School! The students were able to take samples of its water and mineral deposits in order to investigate their chemical constituents.
It also gave us an opportunity to expand into the Biological Sciences by allowing us to examine the local flora, fauna and microorganisms within the samples taken. A fun way to learn and experience Science first hand!
