Grade 6 students trial their culinary creations

Last Thursday Grade 6 students took their individual food products one step closer to reality by conducting their first trial.

Six groups made a range of products from garlic mayonnaise to perfect pan roasted chicken breast with garlic mash, sautéed mushrooms and crispy bacon shards, unctuous herb pesto to refreshing strawberry smoothies and bacon scented croutons to something called a Hawaiian Hay Stack!

They all worked independently, collaboratively and most importantly had a lot of fun!!

This weekend the Grade 6s will produce a report and analyse their experiences.  This valuable information will be used to make next week's trial even better!

Ajarn Luke said he was very proud of the way every one in the class contributed to this important first trial:  "It was truly inspiring to sit back and observe these guys working together".
