Grade 6 - Density Columns

Students inquired into “How does sugar concentration affect density?”
Students were presented with a challenge; to create a density column using 4 different coloured layers. They students experimented by changing the amount of sugar dissolved in coloured water to create 4 separate layers in a boiling tube.
