Junior School Literacy Week
Literacy Week is a widely celebrated occasion where schools come together to honour the amazing authors and books that enrich […]
Our whole school community is warmly invited to the Grade 5 PYP Exhibition on Thursday March 5th starting in the Auditorium at 10am.
The PYP Exhibition is a culminating experience, an opportunity for students to demonstrate the attributes of the International Baccalaureate (IB) learner profile that have been developing throughout their engagement with the PYP over the years. Throughout this process, the students have been engaged in a collaborative, transdisciplinary inquiry process that involves them in identifying, investigating and offering solutions to real-life issues or problems.
An important part of this journey is for the students to find their own voice and seek out to the world, to make connections that will make a lasting impact on their opinions and ideas through projects they feel passionate about.
The Exhibition will start in the auditorium with a performance that has been created in collaboration with A. Catherine, A.Laurent and the Grade 5 students in the school auditorium at 10am. They will illustrate what changing the world means to them using a poem by Frederick Moore ll with musical expression.
You will then move to the library where you will have the opportunity to have discussions with the students. As the students focus on the story, inspiration and creative process behind their work, they will communicate the full story behind the projects and not just the end product.
Please see the attached flyer for session times.
