Grade 5: Feeding Curiosity

Grade 5 has just completed our ‘Where We Are In Place and Time’: Migration Unit. A big part of inquiring into migration and the history of migration is to make connections to our own family migrations from there to here, at Prem. One of the advantages of being at home with our families has allowed us to have conversations about our parent’s or grandparent’s migration journeys, as well as cook their favourite childhood dish. This has enabled us to practice our interviewing, note-taking skills, and biography writing skills, writing recipes, converting measurements, and cooking skills. We hope you like our families’ stories and the recipes we are sharing with you, this year.
