Thailand is one of the highest contributors to plastic waste on our planets. Prem wants to stop this and take action instead. Our school has decided to start a sustainability project called Precious Plastics which is taking disposable plastic and repurposing it into new products. Last week, the Green Team asked the students of Prem to bring in Type 1 and Type 2 plastics for House points. After a few conversations about our Earth and plastic use, Grade 2 became very interested in helping. They were so passionate that, together, they brought in more than 600 pieces such as plastic water bottles, plastic bags, milk jugs, shampoo bottles, etc. Some students even took big action by going to neighboring cafes and hotels to collect their plastic waste as well. We will continue this collection until next week so if you and/or your family want to help reduce plastic waste and repurpose the materials, please bring in Type 1 and Type 2 washed to A.Katie or A.Emma.
