A Successful Virtual Open Day
This week we hosted two virtual open days. With people zooming in from all over the world. Our Heads of […]
Thursday 12th- Saturday 14th September saw the Gr12 Biologists working deep in the forests near Chiang Dao. Their tasks included creating their own field guide to woody plants and the using this to analyse the environment they were in. This process was both physically and intellectually demanding, and required collaboration and team work to complete.
It was a privilege to be in the beautiful forests of North Thailand, especially when led by such expert and passionate educators such as A.Simon, A.Emma, and A. Toey-Sara. Their enthusiasm for every leaf, bug or fungi we came across was infectious. Academic, conceptual, knowledge only really comes to life when applied in the real world, and the Grade 12 Biologists certainly discovered this during their field trip.
