Grade 1 Creating Art with Mud Cakes

The Grade 1 students have been exploring the many ways that Andy Goldsworthy uses natural materials to create works of art. The students had an opportunity to visit the farm and make mud cakes that were later broken up into pieces and painted using both primary and secondary colours. The beauty of this mud cake artwork is that it is interactive and allows the viewer to rearrange the mud cakes into a new work of art.
