Grade 7 enjoyed a lesson on deforestation with A. Lynda Rolph as part of their unit on Challenges Facing Modern Thailand. Students put deep thought into what deforestation looks like and discussed various causes and effects. They then considered and discussed the implications of deforestation from a compass perspective (Nature, Economy, Social, Wellbeing). They played an exciting game that physically demonstrated the impact deforestation has on the watershed. Then they made a human timeline to explore the events concerning this important topic throughout Thailand’s history. Grade 7 sends our thanks to A. Lynda for such a fun and exciting lesson.
