Golf in Junior PE Lessons

This term students in Grade 4 & 5 have enjoyed some lessons with our resident golf coach, Sid. The students spent some lessons working on the driving range with Coach Sid.
The topics covered were the Grip, upper body rotation (creating resistance from the lower body,  use of centrifugal & ground forces) and lastly the release pattern of the Golf club, correct hip movement towards the finish and transition onto the front foot. The students were quick to learn and in no time were hitting some shots they thoroughly enjoyed.
Coach Sid was very impressed with all students but wanted to pay special thanks to his ‘little coaches’. They played an active part in helping instill the fundamentals to their friends that they had previously learnt in Exploria sessions.
The PE department is most grateful to coach Sid for giving up his time in order to extend the curriculum and give students at PREM this wonderful opportunity to learn from such an excellent resource.
