Glion and Les Roches Global Leadership Careers Workshop

On the 28th of September my peers and I had a wonderful opportunity of attending Glion and Les Roches Global Leadership Careers Workshop. The workshop provided us with a great balance of both fun and work. We were firstly presented an in depth presentation on hospitality degree’s and how they lead to multiple careers in: international events, luxury management, etc). After a quick coffee and networking break we then attended an alumni panel from both school’s, over 3 out of 4 students that asked questions to the alumni were from Prem. We can proudly say we were confident with speaking during this workshop!

After our delicious lunch, we were given a masterclass on entrepreneurship and consumer trends. After the master class we were asked to create a team presentation proposing a business, keep in mind that we were all with strangers and had only 5 minutes to present. Nonetheless, all of us ended up having a phenomenal experience presenting and ended up getting a few awards.

We were sad to say goodbye to our new found friends after the gala on the 57th floor of the Waldorf Astoria. However, this opportunity gave us a great networking and leadership experience that we will surely never forget.

Here are a few quotes from my peers, regarding the trip:

Sacha G11:

“I liked how informative the workshop was about the hospitality industry in general. The networking opportunities throughout the day were really valuable, especially at the gala that happened after the workshop.”

Krisha G12:

“This workshop brought me out of my comfort zone, however, it taught how important teamwork is.”

Ben G11:

“This workshop gave me opportunities and knowledge I would have never had in other circumstances.”
