This year we are celebrating Literacy through a myriad of events across the Junior and Senior School. Make sure you keep reading as part of the Prem Reading Challenge!

Monday 27 February

Morning line up: Launch of Literacy Week

JS: Poetry pop up’s. Opportunities for students to explore poetry in fun and creative ways

Tuesday 28 February

Curriculum in Action, an opportunity for parents to come and see Literacy in the JS classes

EY1 – EY2 8:30 am – 9 am

EY3 – Gr 2 8:30 am – 9:50 am

Gr 3 – 5 10:20 am – 11:40 am

Wednesday 1 March

The word experiment… BANG! ZOOM! FIZZ! POP!

Thursday 2 March World book day &  Dr. Suess' birthday

House buddy reading activity JS and MS (Children wear their House kit to school today)

JS Parent Workshop: Helping your child with reading (Thai) 8:30 am in A.Tiew’s classroom

Friday 3 March

8:20am JS assembly and parade: Come to school dressed as your favourite book character (Bring your PE kit in a bag if you have PE today)

“There’s a poem in my pocket” Sharing of student poetry at lunchtime

Last day of the Prem reading challenge

Throughout the week all JS and MS classes will work with our visiting author Holly Thompson exploring and creating poetry.(
