Gabrielle Tesfaye Transforming Students Into Filmmakers

Grade five’s October residency engagement with artist Gabrielle Tesfaye, transformed our students into fully fledged filmmakers. Exploring literacy and themes relating to human trafficking and the exploitation of natural resources through the lens of animation. The first edit of the grade 5 animation created via the residency collaboration is available below.We will shortly post another short video of the project process and hear more from the students and artist about the process of highlighting global issues through creativity and symbolism.
