Five effective stress busters!

  1. Nourish your body and brain – eat well, don’t skip meals! Skipping meals or eating too little causes our bodies to feel weak, and causes difficulty focusing. So nourish it by eating lots of nuts, fruits, and vegetables! This will help you sleep better, study better, and perform better!
  2. Focus on one thing at a time-  get a planner and start a to-do list! Cross off one thing at a time. Don’t stress too much about the projects that are due in the future, focus on what you need to do today. At the end of the day, celebrate the items you were able to cross off your list and pat yourself on the back for a job well done 😉
  3. Take short but frequent study breaks! Study for 45 – 60 minutes and then take a much-needed break. Go take a walk, dance, read, talk to your friends, grab an apple, listen to your favorite song, etc…
  4. Avoid distractions like social media and video games. Have you ever started checking Facebook and then realised you’d spent hours online when you’d thought you’d only spend fifteen minutes? Don’t fall into that trap! Avoid social media when stressed so you don’t end up losing time on the distractions.
  5. Come and talk to the school counsellor! If you’re stressed, don’t let it eat you up! Schedule a time to sit and talk it out with the school counsellor ([email protected])
