Farm Visit

With our current Unit of Inquiry, we have been learning about cycles and patterns through a variety of learning engagements, and with the clean air today we were able to visit the farm to learn about the frog life cycle with A. Sandeep, A. Ice and A. Bahl. We were lucky enough to find tadpoles and bring some back. The process of collecting tadpoles involved learning what a net is, how to use the net, what kind of places they like to be and why and how to catch them. Ask your child about the visit!

After coming back, we talked about our visit as well as read a book about tadpoles. Building on our experience at the farm, we will be inquiring further into the frog life cycle as well as the concept of ‘cycles’.
