Early Years 1 Class Essential Agreement

Yesterday we came up with our class essential agreement.  In a PYP school, every working group (teachers or students) starts off by creating an ‘essential agreement’.  In the classroom, this means that, rather than teachers imposing rules, everyone works collaboratively to establish an agreement of how the class will function.

We began the discussion by asking the question, “How can we all be happy together at school?”  and as a class, we have come up with these agreements.  You can support your child by talking to him/her about our class essential agreement and asking why it might be important that we all try to respect it.
