Early Human - Time Capsules

Why did Cro Magnon’s paint on cave walls?

What did Australopithicines eat?

How did Homo Sapiens hunt their food?

The answers to these questions and more are currently being explored by students in G6 humanities.

Students are concluding their study of early humans by creating ‘Time Capsules’ to illustrate the lives of a hominid group they have chosen. Students developed their own questions to research in order to find out what made their hominid group different to other groups going before them. They then thought of items they could create that illustrate and describe the significant aspects of their hominid.  Some students are not only creating prehistoric items but also using prehistoric tools to make their items. Stay tuned for next week when the final products will be shared!
