The Parent School Community (PSC)
The Parent School Community’s primary purpose is to further the education of our children and is composed of representatives of all grades and cultural groups.
The PSC consists of all parents, guardians and teachers at Prem. It is a great venue to get to know people in the community and share ideas about education and school life. We aim to build goodwill and trust with the school administration, faculty and fellow parents.
We have regular meetings on the first Monday of each month, on the second floor of the library. These are informal in nature and administrators and faculty members are invited to participate. All Prem parents are welcome to attend.
Ambassadors represent parents’ suggestions and concerns to the PSC leadership. Grade Ambassadors are the point people for all the grades. Cultural Ambassadors are the point people for various cultural groups
Greetings From the Chair
Since it’s inception, the Parent School Community (PSC), has worked tirelessly on addressing important issues affecting our children. Our mission is simple—to speak on behalf of the student body, assist parents and the community that surrounds us and to be strong advocates for Prem to become the best school that it can be.
Do you know the one number one factor affecting student success? Parent involvement. When parents get involved, children do better in school and in life. When parents get involved, the quality of education improves. Regardless of socio-economic status, cultural background or the parents’ education level; being involved in your child’s education makes a profound difference.
At Prem, parent involvement is a key focus and one of our greatest strengths. The more you engage with the Prem community, the more fulfilling your experience here will be. From cheering on our Panthers in sporting events to running a stall at International Day – big or small time commitment, there is a place for you. On behalf of the PSC, I welcome you to Prem. We are so glad you are here.
