Prem Cricketers Rock the Sawasdee Cup!

On Sunday eight teams, including our own Prem team, competed in the annual David Buck Sawasdee Cricket Tournament.

Named after David Buck, A. Linda’s husband, who started the cricket programme at Prem and helped build the Prem cricket oval. David’s work was carried on by A. Mark, however, since A. Mark left we have asked a local coach ‘Coach Martin’ to come in and help us. Coach Martin has been working with local Thai cricketers for many years and has taken some local youth cricketers all the way to the Thai national team. he hasn’t lost his magic touch as Coach Martin led the Prem team to victory in this year’s Sawasdee Cup. A great achievement! Well done to all our Prem cricketers and thanks to Coach Martin.

It is such a beautiful spot for cricket and we are very fortunate to have the oval and tournament as a legacy of David Buck’s passion for the sport.

In Group A  Lamphun Boys won having played Sahakorn 2, Huai Keao P6, and Huai Keao P5A, and in Group B Prem Panthers won, having played Lamphun Girls, Huai Keao P5B, and Huai Keao P4.
