Cucumbers in Our Garden

All the hard work of children caring for the plants in our garden is beginning to pay off. Our first harvest from our garden are the cucumbers! Through our cooking process today, we not only learned about cucumbers, but learned how to use the tools that were needed to cook them i.e. knife, cutting board, cooking apparatus and spatula. The children thoroughly enjoyed the entire process from picking them off the plant to cooking them. Most children thought that the dish was so yummy that they wanted seconds! Ask your child about the experience!
