Three former IB Career-Related Program students received their final component marks from the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments (CISI). All three students have passed all components and have received their CISI Level 3 Diploma in Finance, Risk and Investment. Here is a testimony from two of the students:-
The CISI Level 3 Diploma in Finance, Risk & Investment was a very intense course. There are two aspects which I feel I benefited from. The first being the knowledge that I gained on the key characteristics, mechanisms and influences on financial markets and institutions along with the skills I have developed in the fields of data analysis, investment appraisal and accounting. The other aspect that I have benefited from is the degree. With this degree and its recognition within the UK, I can go into a job or pursue higher education. I chose the latter, and I have been accepted to study International Business and the University of Leeds. However, I am a CISI student member, and I plan to slowly move up to affiliate soon. With this membership, I have access to a lot of resources, workshops, and networking events all over the world. So I may have finished my Level 3 Diploma, but my growth with CISI has just started.
Jigme Kinlay, Class of 2019
Throughout the course from the beginning of Grade11 to the end of Grade12, I benefited from the knowledge that the course provided. CISI allowed me to gain great insight into the financial sector. This course also provided me with an opportunity to partake in an internship, which was really great because I got to see how people actually work in real life. I have been accepted into Stamford International University and will be studying International Business Management. My base knowledge from the CISI course will help me with my courses at university and continue to challenge me to think about my own personal finance decisions in the future.
