Community Helpers in Grade 1

This week, Grade 1 had a showcase to share their learning with their parents and friends in the Junior School. All the children had chosen a community helper that they would like to be when they grow up and had inquired into what that role entails and how it helps others. Children were encouraged to independently make or collect tools or resources that were needed for that role.

The students performed really confidently and they all enjoyed sharing what we learned during our Inquiry into Communities. It was wonderful to have so many family members there to support the children and celebrate with them.

Many thanks also to the enthusiastic students from Grade 4J who asked lots of questions and encouraged Grade 1 to give as much information as they could. Well done everyone!
