CMMUN hosted at Prem

On Tuesday March 3rd 2020 Prem was proud to host the Chiang Mai Model United Nations. Attended by many other international schools from the region CMMUN provides students with the opportunity to develop skills in diplomacy, negotiation, critical thinking, public speaking, writing, compromise and research. Like the UN itself the aim is for students to see how the rule of law and cooperation between people and nations is central to  “the maintenance of international peace and security” What We Do. (n.d.). Retrieved from https://www.un.org/en/sections/what-we-do/

We were honoured to have Mr. Ben Svasti – British Honorary Consul as the keynote speaker to open the conference. He spoke with deep knowledge and great passion about his work  combatting human trafficking in S E Asia. and served as a role model for how individuals can make a difference.

Our thanks to the attending schools and their accompanying teachers, to our own A.William for all his work organizing this event, and all the Prem staff and faculty who contributed to make this fantastic event possible.
