Characteristics of Living Things

We have been looking at the characteristics and the needs of living things through different learning engagements.  The Desert Area and the Polar Region are habit centers that are set up in the classroom.  Here are some photos of children exploring the areas.

Just to keep you updated about the incubating eggs, we are waiting until Thursday to see if they will hatch!

Thank you again to Pran for bringing in mushrooms to share with the class.  We were able to learn about where and how they grow.  Cooking and eating them was also a fun experience.

Tomorrow we will be visiting the farm to learn about compost and we will be bringing our learning back to the classroom!
