We are thrilled to announce our students’ achievements at the World Scholar’s Cup Global Round in Bangkok from September 5th to 12th. Twelve of our scholars represented Prem, competing alongside students from over 50 countries. Thanks to their dedication, all junior and senior teams have earned invitations to the Tournament of Champions at Yale University in November!

Our scholars excelled in various events, including debate, collaborative writing, and the scholar’s bowl, impressing coaches Ajarn Chris and Ajarn Amy. Special thanks to Ajarn Ambika for ensuring a smooth trip.

In the junior division, our teams were: Daisy, Rinca, and Alicia/ Nirwan, Tiger, and Jerry/ Yeonwoo, Yale, and Richard

The senior team, consisting of Sophia, Astrid, and Meiji, performed exceptionally well, with Sophia placing 7th among 700 senior debaters, earning a trophy for her achievement.

Beyond competition, students engaged in a Cultural Fair, sharing and learning about diverse heritages, culminating in a celebratory Scholars Ball at the Pullman Hotel.

As we prepare for the Tournament of Champions, we’re excited to see our students shine at Yale. For those interested in joining the World Scholar’s Cup, the local round will be in 2025, with more details in Semester 2.
