Building Empathy and Understanding in IEP

This week, IEP A is diving further into migration and the reasons behind why people may leave their country of birth. We learnt about push and pull factors and the vocabulary associated with these terms and then completed an activity where students had to choose if a certain opportunity or challenge could be classed as a push or pull by positioning themselves on either side of a piece of string.

It was a fun and interactive way to build empathy and understanding about a complex issue.
