Today the farm came to EY3! Having been inspired by the children’s interest in local plants and flowers, Ajarn Ter brought some plants and flowers to share with us. We examined different characteristics such as colour, size, smell and their uses. Aligning with our IB Unit, ‘Sharing the Planet’, children were given the opportunity to create their own incense stick while still taking a Reggio Emilia approach by learning about sustainable resources and making a deep connection with nature. This activity was rich in sensory and extremely engaging to the senses! The classroom smelled wonderful for the rest of the day.
