Boarding Young Chefs at Work!

For the last two weekends, two Young Chef finalists, both boarders, have been hard at work practising their dishes for the Thailand Young Chef competition being held here on 19 September.

Sersang, from Bhutan, and Amy from Thailand are representing Prem after finishing in the top two of last year’s Prem Young Chef competition.  For these two weekends, they have been under the watchful eye of Ajarn David who has been assisting with them making their chosen dishes for the final.

On Saturday, they were torn between making an individual French apple torte with Devonshire cream and an individual fig and honey cheesecake.

On Sunday they will visit Krapood, where Head Chef Tummanoon has very kindly offered his kitchen for the use of these young chefs.  This session will test their skills in the main course department, and we are fortunate to have Ajarn Luke, our new Hospitality Director, on hand to encourage and demonstrate presentation skills.

With only four weeks to go they are fully determined to challenge for the title of Young Chef Thailand 2015!
