Another Action Packed Weekend in Boarding!
There are always weekend activity options for our boarding students. On Friday, the boarding students got the chance to sit […]
On 28 May, five compassionate leaders within the boarding community made a two-hour journey into the hills of Lampang to donate clothes and food in the name of Prem Boarding Community Service.
Alice, Choda, Rain, Tashi and Jigme along with A.Steph and A.Greg departed early on a damp and humid Saturday morning. Sleepy but excited they drove their way through the winding Northern Thai countryside to a small Yeo hill tribe village.
At the village, the students met with local charity Hope House. Hope House delivered a workshop for the residents while the Prem students entertained the young children of the village.
After the workshop, the students handed out vast amounts of donated clothing, shoes, blankets and toys. The village community was extremely grateful for all the donations. The students then handed out food packs that were paid for by the Hope House Exploria team who kindly donated the cash for these non-perishable goods. Each food pack contained basic staples such as oil, rice, canned fish, and noodles.
The boarding students showed great leadership and maturity advertising the donations drive, organising the donations and making the commitment to visit this remote village. They have truly made a wonderful difference and brought hope and happiness to many people’s lives.
Well done Alice, Choda, Tashi, Rain and Jigme G.
