Junior Boarding – Developing key life skills
This week in boarding the junior activities included mediation with A.Rika and a scavenger hunt with A.Sid. The meditation session […]
This week a group of boarding students began a new project to support the local community by visiting a local care home where they were able to meet and support the local residents.
Six Grade 10 students made the short trip to Care Resort Chiang Mai on Saturday morning. Upon arrival, they were introduced to some of the residents. The residents that they met are all suffering from varying levels of dementia and so it was an opportunity for our students to make a real difference assisting one of our community's most vulnerable groups.
The residents enjoyed fishing, walking and talking with our boarding students. Michelle took Edmond for a stroll around the lovely grounds; Alvin and Max went fishing with George; River and Rasnam discussed French politics and art with Nicole; whilst Gumbi played with the cats and talked with Edna and Mary.
It was a lovely morning spent together and our boarders showed great leadership and maturity. On the van back to school the boarders were already discussing and planning their next trip!
