The Grade 3 class returned to Prem Farm to explore and experience traditional tools and farming methods. This time, the students had the opportunity to try traditional ploughing methods using the buffalos from the Traidhos Three Generation Farm. The students were all hesitant at first, but once they got started they didn’t want it to end! This learning experience allowed our students to explore a variety of the PYP Learner profiles. Risk-taking, staying open-minded and being a good communicator! It also made them reflect on wider issues:
“We saw what farming was like 100 years ago. I learned that we should not waste rice, because the farmers use a lot of energy just to grow one batch.”
