“Prem’s programme Artist Residency Thailand and Real Talk Philosophy, presents an evening of guest speakers, community conversations, music, artwork, games, and more exploring the nature of consciousness.
We are thrilled to be joined by previous resident, leading philosopher, author, and broadcaster Nigel Warburton (Little History of Philosophy, Philosophy Bites) and Anil Seth (British professor of Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience). This live-streamed, open-ended exploration of panpsychism and consciousness will include a Q&A session for attendees to put questions to Nigel and Anil.”
As well as being excellent ‘fuel’ for an IB Theory Of Knowledge student, ( having this sort of real world experience can greatly help students when they write their TOK essays and presentations), it is also exactly the sort of thing that enlivens a university application essay or personal statement. In an age when gaining acceptance into top tier institutions is becoming tougher than ever it is a very good idea to look for experiences that would add value to your application.
Nigel Warburton and Professor Anil Seth are very well known and respected figures in the UK and global academic community, and to have the chance to hear them speak and ask them questions is a simply amazing opportunity.
You can view a video of a conversation these two wonderful minds had back in July HERE
