A new friend visiting EY1

This week our EY1 students had yet another exciting visit to the farm. They learned the needs of guinea pigs in order for them to grow and stay healthy. Children learned how to hold, feed and clean the cage. They have brought one of the guinea pigs back to the classroom and the children are responsible for looking after her. Her name is 'Oink' and she will be outside the EY1 classroom during school hours.

Ask an EY1 friend about what they need to do to keep 'Oink' healthy.

"How do we hold her safely?""What does she eat?" "How do we feed her?"
"How do we clean the cage?""How do we fill up her water bottle?"
