Hands On Activity in Grade 4
Grade 4 is coming to an end of their Who We Are UOI looking at the wellbeing of the human […]
This post seems more important than ever before seeing as we are all directly affected by the Coronavirus here in our own countries. However, this post is meant to shine a little light and joy on something so negative. When the outbreaks first occurred, Grade 2 decided to take action. They wanted to help the people of Wuhan so they could have masks and stay safe. This small but mighty idea grew into something pretty extraordinary. The Grade 2 met with A.Justin with a proposal to start their own action. They broke into groups, researched and created a presentation to share with the Junior School about the history of the outbreak, its affects and how to be safe. Their second action was making art with A.Susan and the science lab and collecting old and unused toys to sell. Grade 2 collaborated with Grade 4 on their Market Day and were able to make over 8000 baht. The Grade 2 handled and counted the money themselves. This will be donated to the Han Hong Love Charity Foundation which works directly with hospitals in Wuhan. Thank you to everyone who helped support and I hope this message helps remind us of the good that can happen in this world.
