Fidget spinners made by Grade 6 & 7

These are photos of Fidget Spinners designed and made by grades 6 & 7.
They are a result of the current remote learning projects we’ve had running in Product Design. The students designed the spinners on paper and then a partner drew their spinner using a CAD (Computer Aided Design) program – Grade 6 used TinkerCAD, whilst Grade 7 used Google sketch Up.
Once the spinners had been accurately drawn and checked by the original designer, the CAD drawings were exported as an STL file to the Google Drive and then printed using the 3D printer.
Grade 6 & 7 using CAD/CAM, with some awesome results!

Pretty cool!!
