Middle School persuasive writing

Earlier this term, Grade 8 AEP students in A. Catherine’s English class studied wring persuasively to attract visitors to famous destinations and sights and were then asked to produce their own high-quality guidebook style page. We sought the advice of A. Simon Hobbs for IT tips on the best way to recreate such a page, A3 with columns, text boxes, photos and other background options. A. Simon introduced the class to Lucidpress for desktop publishing on Google and, with his help, the students were quickly able to both write and create their own colourful, well laid out and professional looking pages. We also used it for our next topic which was Famous Bridges. Here are some of the finished products:
