ไก่ผัดขิง -- Cooking Gai Pad King (Thai Ginger Chicken Stir Fry)

This week IEP Lions had the first long-awaited Thai Cooking Class outside of the classroom. Everybody was so eager to learn about a new seasonally appropriate dish called Gai Pad King recommended by A. Nae from the Cooking Academy.

Gai Pad King requires a few strictly followed steps of time-controlled stirring and frying, which are keys to bring out the special tastes of mixed gingers and mushrooms. The Lions were watching and listening carefully to the instructions.

After the tutorial, it’s time to do some real actions and chop up the vegetables for frying.

For some, frying the chicken and vegetables with boiling oil was an excitement to be cheered for and remembered!

But for some, gotta be careful with that!!

Happiness doubled when shared, especially in cooking with great teamwork!

Well, the Lions felt a bit regret today because they had a good lunch at noon already. But who can say “no” to this memorable Gai Pad King meal which gave hard works and team effort to in the afternoon? Everyone enjoyed it so much. They told me they would cook this dish for their parents at home as well, proudly.
